This distinct oval lidded baking dish from Portugal is made from Barro Petro, natural black clay found in the northern region of Portugal, and is sized perfectly for a chicken, roast, beans or a medley of vegetables. Enjoy the enhanced flavors this traditional unglazed black matte pot provides your dish. For roasting in gas or electric oven, 100% lead free.

Use and care: before first use pour water into the pot for a few minutes to soak. This increases the moistness of the dish to be prepared. Best to use wood or plastic utensils while cooking. Hand wash and use non-abrasive scrubbers for cleaning.
