The Thomson Paper Wall Clock combines the warmth of wood with the fine texture of "Mermaid paper," inspired by the gentle ripples of the sea. The rounded clock numbers are die cut for a three-dimensional drop shadow effect. Japanese designer Yuichi Nara crafted the stamped out design using a Thomson die-cutting machine used for puzzle making. Framed in plywood with a glass face.
This modern, analog wall clock features a silent, battery-powered quartz mechanism. Requires one AA battery (not included).
Mermaid® is a registered trademark of TAKEO Co., Ltd. Developed in 1956 under the direction of Japanese designer Hiroshi Hara, its distinctive texture is created by pressing a specially woven felt into the paper during production.
