A JP General family favorite. Mix this delicious, no fuss, easy-to-make apple cake in one pan. (Click here for a printable PDF.)
Heat oven: 350 degrees

In the pan, mix the following dry ingredients:
- 2 cups sugar
- 2 ½ cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
Add the following ingredients and mix thoroughly:
- 1 cup vegetable oil
- 2 eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 3 cups apples diced, skins on (a mixture of tart & sweet varieties)
May add raisins, currants or walnuts to taste.
Bake: 45 – 60 minutes
Serve warm out of the oven with ice cream or whip cream. Store lightly covered once cooled.
