Fresh mushrooms lose flavor when rinsed in water - dirt and soil should be brushed or cut off. This handy mushroom brush made with oiled birch and horsehair effectively removes dirt and debris without damaging fungus.

Handmade in Sweden by visually impaired craftspeople since the late 1800's, each brush is beautifully constructed using all natural, sustainable materials.

Horse hair is an excellent material in brushes because it is soft and pliable while it is sturdy and durable and has a certain elasticity. 

The brush's compact shape also works great as bread baking brush with molds that have small and detailed patterns.
